The PCC office is equipping itself to serve as a shelter in the event of an emergency. Whether the event is a natural disaster, storm, fire watch, or extended power outage, our office at 151 Nisqually Way is designed to serve as a command center and shelter. It is now stocked with a few dozen cots and blankets, assorted emergency supplies and tools, as well as a propane generator that will keep heat, power and hot water available within the office building.
The following link will take you to Pierce County’s Emergency Management Site. While Paradise Estates is in Lewis County, we are more closely tied to first responders (Police, Fire, County) in Pierce County. Reviewing this site from time to time will assist you in planning for or responding to events that threaten our community. As we gather more information regarding this important topic, we will add it to this website. To learn more, please attend a Community Watch meeting or call the PCC Office at 253.569.2669.
If you have surplus items to donate, that would be useful during an emergency, please contact the office at 360-569-2669.
Your Emergency Management Team Leaders,
Steve Olson and Joyce Mitchell
